Seamark Inflatable Buoys

FEATURES
Each buoy has an inflation valve commonly found in inflatable boats which allows inflation by most dinghy pumps; for the larger versions a small 12v blower or vacuum cleaner set to ‘blow’ saves a lot of time. A stainless steel ring suitable for shackling to ground tackle is fitted to the underside of the buoy with a similar fitting in the top for lifting or towing.
If required the buoys can be supplied with a banner attachment system that allows a sponsor’s message to be fitted that will not come off even when being towed at high speed by a RIB. AVAILABILITY
Ballast is required to keep the buoys vertical, the exact amount depending on the size of buoy and prevailing weather conditions. As a guide, 25kg. hung immediately below the BigMark is sufficient in all but the heaviest weather. The easiest ballast to handle is chain and a short length of reasonable heavy chain just below the buoy works well. The actual forces developed on the anchor are quite small, so these do not have to be large, but should have a few metres of chain before the rope riser up to the ballast chain.
